The house-slaves and their masters’ stock-market

Malcolm X, in a speech about The House Negro and the Field Negro, said, “The house-slave loved his master more than his master loved himself. That’s why he didn’t want his master hurt. If the master’s got sick, he’d say, ‘What is the matter, boss, we sick?'”

Today, the masters’ say their stock-market is sick, and the house-slaves think, “Oh no, our stock-market is sick!”
