Pretty protestor at Occupy San Diego (OSD)

Pretty protestor: Ironically she does not realize that her weak point-of-view would be ignored in any culture that were to not highly value empty, pretty girls such as Kardashians.. If you do not understand why we are here but you can name all the Kardashians, it is time to turn off the TV and pay attention! Though I study cosmetics, not economics, and train to be cute (and smug), not smart, still, pay me attention!

She was not in SF, she was in NYC. I talked to her for a bit, she’s only in HS but has a good head on her shoulders. I dont think her point of view is weak at all. Not really sure why you’re hating on her

Thanks for the clarification of location. Still, until I see something substantive–placing her at OWS and not OSD–I’m fine with the possible mistake. The point still remains 😉

“I dont think her point of view is weak at all. Not really sure why you’re hating on her.”

If you imagine two things then it might be easier to understand why I might consider her opinion weak:
      1. Imagine that you do not agree with her position.
      2. Imagine that she has a dick.

“she’s only in HS but has a good head on her shoulders”

Really!? Well…where is her neck!? 😀

I know this girl. She most definitely lives in NYC and just happens to be pretty. Her point is quite clear. Yours, however, is not. It just seems like you want to personally attack a pretty teenage girl. And, her “weak point of view” is the POINT!! Your statement did nothing but back her up. She’s saying that our culture should stop valuing such idiotic things and pay attention to the peril that our nation is facing. If you weren’t so busy projecting your self-loathing onto attractive children with the guts to take a stance, you’d probably understand. Douche.

    @Jaime

Thanks for the location clarification, Jaime.

    As to your points:

“she just happens to be pretty”

I disagree, and say that her “prettiness” is a meticulous contrivance, and that, though in the past she may have been a victim of circumstance, now she is a role-model for boys and girls, and she is teaching them that girls are better if they are pretty and prettier when they hide what they actually look like.

“Her point is quite clear. Yours, however, is not.”

    I disagree.

“It just seems like you want to personally attack a pretty teenage girl.”

If that were my aim then I would attack someone else–I do not consider this girl to be pretty.

“Your statement did nothing but back her up.”

I say that my statement did more: It pointed out irony.

“If you weren’t so busy projecting your self-loathing onto attractive children with the guts to take a stance, you’d probably understand.”

You were smarter–indeed better–before college, Jaime. It takes college to ever think to make such an articulately senseless statement as yours above.

    “Douche.”
